The Oral Histories of Female Chief Master Sergeants in the U.S. Air Force
The “Unspoken Warriors” documentary features oral histories of 10 U.S. Air Force female Chief Master Sergeants (CMSgts) between 1980 and 2010. The discussion focuses on the diverse roles and impact of women in military leadership career fields before and during the War on Terrorism, Desert Storm, Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan). Findings focus on resiliency, equal opportunity, and the dramatic technological, social, cultural and military policy changes in military service for women. These stories have been donated to the Military Women’s Memorial located in Washington, D.C.
